The Health Council of the Netherlands has published the advisory report Non-anonymised contact after stem cell donation. The summary of this advisory report had already been published earlier, on 30 September 2026.
The Health Council advises the Dutch Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport to allow non-anonymised contact between stem cell donors and recipients under certain conditions. According to the council, this ensures that donors and recipients are sufficiently protected against the potential risks of non-anonymised contact with one another, without unnecessarily restricting their personal freedom.
