The Health Council of the Netherlands advises the Dutch Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport to allow non-anonymised contact between stem cell donors and recipients under certain conditions. According to the council, this ensures that donors and recipients are sufficiently protected against the potential risks of non-anonymised contact with one another, without unnecessarily restricting their personal freedom.
