Occupational vaccination against mpox is not necessary at the moment, according to the Health Council. The group for which it is indicated – male and transgender sex workers who have sex with men – is already eligible for vaccination through a temporary vaccination programme. For other professional groups, the Health Council does not consider occupational vaccination to be appropriate.
