The Health Council offers the opportunity to comment on the draft advisory report on Kerosene Engine Exhaust. In this draft report, the Dutch Expert Committee on Occupational Safety (DECOS) and the subcommittee on the Classification of Carcinogenic Substances in collaboration with the Nordic Expert Group for Criteria Documentation on the Health Risks of Chemicals (NEG) evaluated the mutagenic and carcinogenic properties of occupational exposure to kerosene engine exhaust. Furthermore, the committees assessed the health hazards of Kerosene Engine Exhaust in order to derive health-based occupational exposure limits.
