More health gains to be achieved with a different vitamin K policy for babies

The Health Council of the Netherlands recommends switching to a different policy for the administration of vitamin K to babies. The current oral administration policy does not work optimally. In the Netherlands, bleedings due to vitamin K deficiency in babies are still more common than in countries with a different administration policy. This is what the council writes in an advice to the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport.
