Employees who are regularly bitten by ticks should be vaccinated against TBE

People who are regularly bitten by ticks in the course of their work should be offered vaccination against tick-borne encephalitis by their employer. This was the recommendation made by the Health Council in an advisory report to the Minister of Social Affairs and Employment. Such employees are at an increased risk of infection with the TBE virus. In rare cases, this can have serious consequences.
