No general skin cancer screening programme to be introduced
The Health Council of the Netherlands has advised against the introduction of a national screening programme for skin cancer and recommended a focus on information provision and behavioural change instead. In its opinion to the Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport, the Council states there is no scientific evidence that a screening programme of this type would be beneficial.
