Health risks associated with livestock farms follow-up advice

There has been growing concern for many years about the health risks of living near livestock farms. Studies show that residents living near livestock farms more often do have respiratory problems, but it is unclear what are the causes of these effects.

Recent study results confirm that residents living near livestock farms more often do have a decreased lung function and an increased risk of pneumonia. However, it is still unclear whether causal associations are involved. The amount of good quality research is too limited.
