In the context of the Population Screening Act the Health Council advises the Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport to reject a license application for a study by the Erasmus MC in Rotterdam concerning how often gastrointestinal disorders occur in the population of 50 to 75 years of age. For the study a video capsule would be used to capture images of the gastrointestinal tract.
